Strong Public Schools

In the wake of the 2016 election, the National Education Association needed a vehicle to expose the threat of the Trump Administration’s education policy, and help members identify the 2020 candidate who was most committed to strengthening public schools.

We created StrongPublicSchools.org to serve as home for the union’s election efforts, providing information and tools to help users organize ahead of the election. We designed and built the site using flexible, reusable page components to allow NEA’s PAC to quickly launch discrete, concurrent campaigns (see below) with minimal additional development.

Candidate Comparison Chart

This interactive tool allowed users to compare the 10 top presidential candidates’ policies on key issues impacting public schools, literally side by side.

Candidate Forum

Our recap of NEA’s annual Town Hall allowed users to watch interview highlights, browsing by candidate or issue.

Human & Civil Rights Awards

The (awards) show must go on! Our virtual version of the gala conveyed the pomp and prestige of the annual event with live video and black tie–inspired design.
